1. Information we collect
- Account information: your email address, display name and, if you choose to add them, your cat's name and birthday.
- Usage information: the games you play, scores, streaks, music and videos you use and the features you interact with.
- Device information: device type, operating system, app version and country-level location.
- Community content: messages and posts you share in the 💎 PLATINUM chat and direct messages.
- Reports: if you report a message or a member, we keep your report, the reported message and the reason so we can review it.
- Support messages: anything you send us through the contact form, such as your name, email and message.
- Invites: if you invite a friend or join with an invite link, we record the invite code so both accounts receive the reward.
- Camera and microphone (Record my cat): only when you turn on Record my cat. Clips are saved on your device and are not uploaded to us. You decide whether to share them.
- Notifications: if you allow them, we send reminders such as when a special offer is about to end. You can turn them off in your phone settings.
2. How we use your information
- To provide, maintain and improve the app and website.
- To manage your plan and unlock the features you are entitled to.
- To track daily streaks and rewards.
- To show your display name, monthly points and Champion of the Month badges on the Cat Champions leaderboard. Our website shows first names only.
- To run PLATINUM community features such as chat and direct messages.
- To respond to support requests.
- To send service updates that are not marketing.
- To understand how the app is used so we can make it better.
- To show ads to 🌿 FREE plan users, as described below.
3. Subscriptions and payments
Cat Paw Games offers FREE, 🥇 GOLD and PLATINUM plans. All purchases, billing, renewals and cancellations are handled by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We receive confirmation of your plan status but we never see or store your payment card details.
4. Advertising
FREE plan users see ads. In the app, ads are provided by Google AdMob. On this website, ads are provided by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use your device's advertising ID in the app and cookies or similar technologies on the website, to show ads and to measure their performance. Ads may be personalised based on your interests unless you opt out.
To show and protect ads, Google may also use your IP address to work out your approximate location (for example your country or city) and basic diagnostic information about the app. We never collect your precise location.
How to opt out of personalised ads:
- Android: open Settings and go to Google then Ads, where you can delete or reset your advertising ID or opt out of ads personalisation.
- iPhone and iPad: open Settings and go to Privacy and Security then Tracking, where you can turn off Allow Apps to Request to Track.
- Website: visit Google Ads Settings at adssettings.google.com or aboutads.info to manage personalised ads and use your browser settings to block or delete cookies.
Where required by law, such as in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, we ask for your consent before personalised ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time. GOLD and PLATINUM plans are ad-free in the app and on our guides when opened from the app.
5. Analytics
We use Google Analytics on this website and analytics tools in the app to understand how our services are used, such as which pages are visited and which features are popular. This data is collected in aggregated form and helps us improve Cat Paw Games. Google Analytics uses cookies. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout and you can turn off in-app analytics in the app settings.
6. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:
- With service providers who help us run the app, such as hosting, analytics, email and advertising, under confidentiality obligations.
- On the public leaderboard, where your cat's name and country appear if you choose to take part.
- With other PLATINUM members, who can see messages you post in the community chat.
- When required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users and our service.
7. Cookies
Our website uses essential cookies to work properly, plus analytics and advertising cookies as described above. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
8. Data storage and security
Your data is stored on secure servers and protected with technical and organisational safeguards. No system is completely secure, but we work hard to protect your information.
9. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and as required by law. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal information within a reasonable time.
10. Children's privacy
Cat Paw Games is intended for cat owners and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. Your rights
